RePublik are delighted to announce the Waterford debut of one of the hottest properties in the scene at the moment, MIND AGAINST, Saturday June 21st at Crystal, Waterford.

Mind Against are an Berlin-based electronic music duo.
The project is born in 2011 and in 2012 they recorded and released their first single “Cagliostro” on breakthrough label Life and Death.

Through the same imprint, Mind Against released in 2013 their debut EP “Atlant” to critical acclaim.

In 2012 and 2013 the duo have also composed several remixes for, amongst others, WhoMadeWho, Art Department, Róisín Murphy, PillowTalk and Avatism on labels such as Kompakt, Cocoon Recordings and aforementioned Life and Death.

FISH Go DEEP /Operation Dylan Fundraiser Sat May 17th

On Saturday May 17th, to help RePublik member Eddie celebrate the big 40, his wife Gillian is throwing a party with our good friends, Greg Dowling & Shane Johnson (Fish Go Deep) and they along with RePublik will donate all proceeds on the night to charity! As the dance scene in Waterford continues to grow gig after gig, we forget that some people are not as fortunate. Operation Dylan is a Fundraising campaign created to help send a young boy to USA for SDR surgery with Dr T.S. Park. Dylan is a 4 year old who suffers from Cerebral Palsy which causes pain and tightness in the legs making it hard to learn how to walk. To help Dylan walk, he will need surgery in America called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) which will cost approx. €60,000 in total. Dylan is showing great improvements in the last few months but will still need this surgery to aid his ability to do something we all take for granted, the ability to walk. There are ongoing fundraising efforts on Dylan’s behalf and we would like to help by doing what we do best, run house music events in Waterford. Entry price is a minimum of €5 but we encourage to give what you can (as €5 euro is still cheap for Greg & Shane!) and ALL proceeds will go to Operation Dylan fund. We will also have donation buckets on the night. DJs on the night are FISH GO DEEP, RePublik’s Kenno & Warren Sauvage, whilst Yachtrocks Shaun Whelan and Ado play alternative in Halo.

Another Waterford debut, this time in the shape of Poker Flats Head honcho, STEVE BUG. To say we have been chasing this guy for some years would be an understatement, a real DJS DJ, this will be one night not to be missed. Support comes from our own Warren Sauvage, ReTechs Alan Harris and Intersections Paul O’Brien
